After 6 days of frustration, I did not focus a ton on my challenge yesterday while I worked through what was causing my lack of motivation.
This morning I meditated awhile on my situation, did some writing, and I think I figured out the basic error in my ways. I put a ton of items into this months challenge that were carry overs for last month, and on top of that, I added several 100% new concepts or goals. The habits I carried over from last month are far from solid yet. Meditation, exercise, waking time……all items I did well last month, they still require a lot of my focus and energy to maintain right now. Adding more then one large new concept this month, is just impossible in combination with my other habits.
So I worked on my 1 year, 5 year, and 10 year goals more, and overall got a better feel for my time line this year. I am going to drop a few of my new challenge items this month, and re-focus my energy in my habits that I need more ’solidified’ first. My focus this year is mostly on building a better foundation to complete larger goals 5 years and 10 years from now. Those habits need more time on them in order to create that solid platform.
