Day 20 through 27 – Balance II

April 26, 2009

Almost wrapped up on this challenge.  I haven’ t been nearly as focused, but on the couple of tasks I most wanted to achieve, I am doing well on.

Wake up on time - I am doing VERY well on this component.  Last weekend I got up both days at the designated 5:30 mark, all weekdays I was up by 4:30, and then again this weekend both morning I am up at 5:30.  It is starting to finally get a bit easier.  The weekends still take a bit of concentration, but the weekdays I am finding it much easier to pop out of bed, shut the alarm off, and not even think about going to back to bed.

Daily ‘tasks’ – Still improving on my consistency for all my small daily tasks (supplements, dry brushing, ect).  I do miss a supplement period now and again, but this mostly happens when I am not home, or our meal schedule is off.  Since I have to take them an hour before a meal, it takes a bit more awareness when my schedule shifts.  Overall, doing well, and I don’t anticipate having to put these tasks on my upcoming 30 days.  Might need a refresher in 6 months, but will just see how it goes.

Pet Time - Did spend some time a couple days this week, either outside with the crew, or on inside tasks.  I spent more time reading and developing some ideas I have for the future when it comes to my home career and possibly some products I will offer.  So while it wasn’t always direct one on one time, definitely spent time almost daily working on their future challenges and training.

Website work -  Very happy with my progress this week.  I updated my running challenge daily, got another post or two up, and worked nightly on my website in general.  Yesterday spent quite a few hours on clean up work, so much so, I forgot to eat dinner, and worked through straight until bed.  I like getting caught up in this work, it doesn’t happen often for me, so I am on the right track in some sense here.

Meditation – Not as much of this going on as I would like.  I had plans and time set aside several evenings, but as is known to happen, time slips away.  I have considered squeezing some time in right before bed, but with my early rising goal, my first priority has been to get to bed on time.  I will have to ponder how I can get more meditation time in, without cutting into my early to work that I am really liking right now.

Hometime/cooking – Spent quite a bit of time working in the yard this week and weekend.  I have not cooked as many nights as I would have liked, but managed to not eat out once, so that is nice.  My motivation has been lacking on my food planning as compared to my last challenge.  I need to spend time on new recipes and finding ways to get a bit more motivated to cook each evening.

Overall, a good week.  My challenge is to end in a couple of days, this hasn’t been my most focused one to date, but I am happy with my progress.  Several items are really becoming permanent habits, which is ultimately what I wanted to achieve.
